Pickleball is at FPC!  Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays, 9:00 am

We play every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00-11:00 am in the
church gym (Oct- April), or outside a various courts int he area (May- Sept). Are
you an experienced player or just interested in learning more and trying out the
game?  Either way, we have you covered!  We have extra equipment for those

Manna & More Fellowship Breakfast

Second Sunday of the month (September thru May) , 8:15-10:30 am

Serving Time: 8:30 to 10:30 am

Menu:  Varies (Egg casserole, pancakes, sausage, waffles ) fruit and
beverages.

Cost:  $3 adults, $1 children (12 years and under)

You are invited to share a delightful breakfast and fellowship time with your
family and friends before and after the 9:00 am service.  This is also the perfect
time to make a new friend.  Please mark your calendar to join us the second
Sunday of each month.  We look forward to seeing you!


Socializers 

This group coordinates monthly potluck dinners with guest speakers.

When: Fourth Saturday of the month, 6:00 pm (Sept. - April)

Where: Fellowship Hall

If you like good food and good fellowship, please mark your calendar and plan
to come.


Book Club (BTC)

All members of the club read and discuss selected books.

When: Third Monday of the month, 12:30 pm (Sept. - May)

Where: Church Parlor or members’ homes


First Night Out

This social group is for anyone who would like to meet new church friends or
enjoy members they have known for years. New groups are assigned every
year in the fall and plan monthly gatherings as individual groups.

When: A combined gathering kicks off First Night Out in the fall. After that, the
individual groups plan their own monthly events.

Where: Varies – homes, church, event location


FPC Young Adult Group

All couples or singles up to the age of 40 are invited to join this group, which
plans a variety of social events through the year. The purpose of these
gatherings is to meet new people or to get to know current members better.

When: Varies according to event

FPC Travel Fellowship
Old-fashioned Railroad
Experience in Boone, IA

Saturday, September 30, 8:00 am

Travel Fellowship has been partnering
with Davenport's
German American
Heritage Center
to provide affordable
day trips. The following trip is open to
our congregation and its friends. All
registrations are handled by the German
Center by calling 563-322-8844. We will
depart Saturday September 30 at 8:00
am from the GAHC parking lot at 712 W.
2nd St., Davenport and will return at
approximately 10:45 pm.
Enjoy the
Boone Scenic Valley Railroad &
Museum, the James H. Andrew Railroad
Museum, the Mamie Doud Eisenhower
Birthplace
, a round-trip train ride to an
old coal mining town in a 1920's era
coach class car, and a banquet-style
dinner meal at the Ox Yoke Inn in
Amana Colonies. Participants must
bring a sack lunch. Final reservation cut
off is September 5, 2017. Call the
GAHC office now to register (563-322-
8844). Cost:  $140 GAHC Member,
$150 Non-member.
