Music Ministry

Many people know First Presbyterian Church through its music ministry, which includes a Sanctuary adult choir of more than 110 singers, along with other choral and instrumental groups from pre-school through high school. The music ministry sponsors the well-known Performing Arts Series, which presents nationally-acclaimed guest artists as well as church-wide, full-scale Broadway productions and standing room only Christmas concerts.

First Church's Christian Education Committees seek to teach, train and encourage participants to apply what they have learned and experienced at church in the world. .

The mission of First Presbyterian Church is to develop its members to be the light of the world and the salt of the earth through its local mission programs, its worldwide mission, and through the witness of its members to their neighbors and friends. The Deacons Outreach an Mission Connection Committees are responsible for ministering to those who are in need, to the sick, to the friendless, and to any who are in distress. This goal is accomplished by creating hands-on mission opportunities for the congregation of First Presbyterian Church.
