Adult Fellowship Groups
Warm fellowship and mutual care and concern for one another is a part of First Presbyterian Church's distinctive character. Groups of members and friends are structured to facilitate friendship and support.
Book Club (BTC)
All members of the club read and discuss selected books.
When: Third Monday, 12:30 PM
Where: Church Parlor or members’ homes

Individual members select books and review for group.
When: Fourth Monday, 7:00 PM

Celtic Spirituality Group
Anyone interested in studying the Celtic roots/heritage of our faith. Alternate monthly between study and social gatherings.
When: Study sessions - Second Sunday, 6:30 PM
Where: Church Parlor for study sessions/location for social events varies
Coffee Fellowship
Volunteers serve refreshments (already provided) between services.
When: Between services every Sunday unless a reception is occurring.
Where: Fellowship Hall for indoor services/West lawn for outdoor services
Covenant School
Small group Bible study and discussion group. Leadership by turn.
When: Thursdays, 6:00 PM
Where: Church Parlor
Feet First Walking Fellowship
For anyone who wishes to enjoy the fellowship of walking together for an hour.
When: Saturday mornings, 8:00 AM April-October
Where: Various walking trails in the Quad-Cities
First (Presbyterian) Night Out
Social group for singles or couples, adults all ages. For anyone who would like to meet new church friends or enjoy company of members they have known for years. New groups are assigned every year in the fall and plan monthly gatherings as individual groups.
When: Combined gathering early fall/Individual groups plan monthly events (some meet
in the summer – others don’t)

Golf Outing (Men’s)
Fellowship for adult men – includes round of golf, meal, and short devotional.
When: Early June – Sunday afternoon
Where: Usually Palmer Golf Course
Marietta Mall Walkers
For anyone interested in an opportunity for good conversation and a little exercise.
When: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 8:30 AM
Where: Northpark Mall Food Court
Singles’ Group
Opportunity to meet with other single individuals on a social basis.
When: Second weekend of the month (Friday or Saturday)
Where: Selected by group
Socializers
Monthly potluck dinner with speakers, often provided by members of group i.e. travelogues, community groups.
When: Fourth Monday of each month, 6:00 PM
Where: Fellowship Hall
Women’s Circle (Deo Juvante)
Circle for retired women. Meets for Bible study and dessert. Study guided by materials published by Presbyterian Church U.S.A. The group donates monthly to a White Elephant Fund which is given to various organizations once a year. Also contributes to the Least Coin Fund of Church Women United.
When: Third Tuesday, 1:00 PM

Young Adult Group
Couples or singles up to the age of 40. The group plans a variety of social events for the purpose of meeting new people or getting to know current members better.
When: Monthly – varies according to event
