Child Protection Policy
In order to provide a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for all children and youth,
First Presbyterian Church adopted a Child Protection Policy in December 2000.
All paid church staff and all volunteers who work with children or youth are screened
and asked to read and sign a "Code of Conduct." A policy brochure is available by contacting henshell@fpcdavenport.org.
Childcare:
Little Saints Nursery Volunteer
Time commitment: Two hours per week on a rotating schedule.
Meets: Third floor nursery in the CE Building.
Training: One hour orientation to nursery policy and procedure provided by Director of Children's Education or Nursery Coordinator.

Little Saints Teacher
Time commitment: Duration of class is five to six weeks.
Meets: Third floor nursery in the CE Building.
Training: Two planning and training workshops 3-4 weeks before unit begins.

Toddler Caregiver
Time commitment: One to three hours per week, on a rotating schedule; includes Sunday mornings-depending on the church function.
Meets: Third floor nursery in the CE Building
Training: One hour orientation to nursery policy and procedure provided by the Director of Children's Education or Nursery Coordinator.

Time commitment: One hour shift, Sunday, 10:00 - 11:00 AM on a rotating schedule.

Public Relations:
Event Photographer (Church Publications)
Time commitment: One to two hours per event.
Meets: Event location.
Training: Provided by First Church Staff (may use church's digital camera or your own equipment with reimbursement for film and processing).

On the Road Driver (MSF)
Time commitment: Varies with activity; three hours for most local events.
Meets: Church kitchen.
Training: One-half hour orientation (and must be at least 18 years or older and have valid driver's license).

Usher Coordinator (Worship)
Time commitment: Two hours per month for 12 months.
Meets: Sanctuary.
Training: Provided by Music/Worship Committee and clergy.

Time commitment: Half hour before to half hour after each worship service; two hour total per Sunday for one full month.
