I’m originally from Brooklyn Center, MN, and was raised in the Lutheran tradition. I put my faith in Christ in junior high confirmation class. Later in college at Moorhead State I became involved in CRU, then known as Campus Crusade for Christ. Though I graduated with an education degree in earth science, I joined the staff of CRU and served on campuses, discipling students in Kansas, Michigan and at Iowa State. After many years on staff, I felt called to teach Bible and theology, perhaps overseas with CRU, but women as teachers wasn’t popular! So, I went to Bethel Seminary in St Paul and earned two masters degrees. I was ordained in the American Baptist Church and served in Ohio and in Iowa City. I switched to Presbyterian, because I loved the idea of ordaining lay people to ministry. I accepted the call to serve at Our Savior Presbyterian in Argo (LeClaire) for 8 years. After retiring I began attending First Presbyterian, and was asked to join the staff at our church. I am honored to serve alongside you all.
