Weddings at First Presbyterian Church

"Clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony." – Colossians 3:12–14

The Meaning of a Christian Wedding

At First Presbyterian Church of Davenport, we believe that Christian marriage is a covenant—a sacred, lifelong commitment between two people, lived out before God and supported by the community of faith.

A Christian wedding is a service of worship, where the gospel is proclaimed, God’s love is celebrated, and a couple's vows are made in the presence of Christ and the church.
