The FPC Sanctuary Choir has partnered with the Spotlight Theatre in Moline to present the largescale musical The Hunchback of Notre Dame on the second and third weekends of October. The beloved musical, based partly on the Disney adaptation of the Victor Hugo novel while remaining truer to the original storyline, involves a cast of 30 immensely talented actors and dancers from the Quad Cities community on stage and a choir of 50 singers (mostly from First Pres) in the balcony. Matt Bishop has been hard at work serving as music director of this production the past few months.
The choir is excited about the opportunities this partnership has created and is eager for YOU to experience the beautiful, challenging music and the moving drama of this story. Centering themes of racism, ableism, power, love, and safety, this musical challenges the notions of “sanctuary” and the wide reach of God’s grace and the Church’s protection.
Tickets are $24 for stadium seats and $30 for floor seats at a table. Purchase yours today.
